Last updated: 2026-10-10. BrokenMeta.gg is an unofficial, player-made site showing real Teamfight Tactics statistics. This page explains what data is collected when you visit, why, and how to control it.

Who runs this site

BrokenMeta.gg is an independent project, not affiliated with Riot Games or Blizzard Entertainment. It is published on a non-professional basis by a private individual, under the name BrokenMeta.gg, who is also the controller of the data processing described on this page. In line with Article 6-III-2 of the French law on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN), the publisher has disclosed their identity to the host and can be reached at contact@brokenmeta.gg.

Data from the Riot Games API

Comps, rankings, champion and item stats come from Riot Games' official API (Match-V1, League-V1): this is already-public game data (ranked games, ladder standings), not personal information collected by Riot or BrokenMeta.gg beyond what the game already shows everyone. No account or login is needed to browse the site.

MetaScope (profile lookup)

When you type a Riot ID into MetaScope, that search is sent live to the Riot Games API through our own backend (a Cloudflare Worker) to fetch the matching profile and match history. The Riot ID you enter and the result returned are not stored on our servers: the request is handled on the fly and nothing is kept beyond the response time.

Analytics (Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager)

The site uses Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager to understand how it's used (pages visited, referrer, device, interactions like copying a comp or using the rank filter) and improve it. These tools set cookies and send data to Google, which may process it under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). None of this data is sold.

These tools only set their audience cookies with your consent: on your first visit, a banner asks you to choose (see the "Cookies and consent" section).

Cookies and consent

On your first visit a banner lets you accept all, refuse all or customize by purpose: audience measurement (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) and advertising (Google AdSense). Refusing is as easy as accepting, and the site works the same either way. Until you choose, audience and advertising cookies stay off (Google "Consent Mode" signals set to "denied": Google may only receive aggregated measurements, with no cookie or identifier).

Your choice is kept for 6 months in your browser's local storage, then the banner asks again. You can change or withdraw it at any time with the Manage cookies link at the bottom of every page.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

The site may show ads served by Google AdSense, which fund the project. They are shown only if you accepted them in the banner. Google and its partners may then use cookies and identifiers to limit repeats, measure results and, if you also accept it, personalize ads. Details and settings on Google's side: policies.google.com/technologies/ads. BrokenMeta.gg receives no personal information about visitors from these ads.

Local storage

Your language choice (FR/EN) and your cookie choice (6 months) are remembered in your browser's local storage so you're not asked again on every visit. This stays on your device only and is never sent to our servers.

BrokenMeta World of Warcraft addon and data sharing

The BrokenMeta addon for WoW: Forever runs in your game, on your computer. It records locally, in its save file, measurements from your character sheet and the auction house prices you choose to scan. Nothing leaves your computer unless you turn sharing on (/bmw share on) and send that file yourself from the Share my data page.

• Controller: the publisher of BrokenMeta.gg (see "Who runs this site" and "Contact").
• Purposes: improve the DPS simulator and item weights with the game's real values (crit, mana regeneration, dodge, pet stats, rating conversion per level); show auction house prices in the profession guides; publish aggregated statistics.
• Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given by turning sharing on in the addon and ticking the consent box before each upload. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your uploads (see "Your rights" below); withdrawal doesn't affect uploads made before.
• Data sent: addon and game version; for each measurement, the class, race, level, attributes and percentages shown by the game, the talent point split and the number of active buffs; for each auction house scan, the realm, faction, date, and per item the lowest unit price, the quantity and the number of listings.
• Data never sent: character names, account name, auction house seller names, addon settings. The file is read in your browser, which only extracts the data above.
• IP address: it is not stored. To limit abuse, the service computes an encrypted fingerprint of it (salted hash, practically irreversible), kept for at most 24 hours.
• Recipients: BrokenMeta.gg only. The data is hosted by our processor Cloudflare (Workers and D1 database). Only aggregated results are published on the site (prices, statistics), never an individual upload.
• Transfer outside the European Union: Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States; the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which Cloudflare adheres, and by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in its data processing agreement.
• Retention: 24 months after upload, then automatic deletion. Published aggregated statistics, which don't relate to any individual upload, may be kept longer.
• Your rights: since no name or account is collected, we can't link an upload to a person. Each upload therefore gives you a deletion code: it lets you erase that upload yourself, immediately and permanently, on the Share my data page, or by writing to us (see "Contact") to exercise your rights of access, erasure or objection. You can also file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
• Character simulation: the DPS simulator page computes everything in your browser; the export you paste there is never sent to any server.
• In-game crafters directory: when you set yourself available in the addon, your crafter profile (character name, professions, message) travels between addon players inside the game. It does not go through our servers.

Public crafters directory (optional)

This is the only place where BrokenMeta.gg publishes a character name, and only if you ask for it: you tick "Show me on brokenmeta.gg" in the addon, then publish your card on the Crafters directory page with the consent box ticked.

• Purpose: letting players find a crafter and contact them in game.
• Legal basis: your consent (GDPR article 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time by removing your card.
• Published data: character name, realm, faction, class, race, level, professions and skill levels, known recipes, short message and how many players favourited you in the addon, update date. A secret key generated by your addon is kept hashed so that only you can change your card.
• Retention: your card is deleted automatically after 60 days without an update.
• Removal: paste your card or your deletion code in "Remove my card" on the directory page, or write to us (see "Contact"). We also remove any abusive card, or one published in another player's name, on simple report.

Processors and third-party services

• Hostinger -- site hosting.
• Cloudflare -- runs the MetaScope and WoW services (Workers), stores the data shared from the addon (D1).
• Google -- Analytics, Tag Manager (with your consent), AdSense (advertising, with your consent), Google Fonts.
• Riot Games -- source of the game data (official API).

Retention

Analytics data (Google Analytics) is kept per Google Analytics' standard configuration. Your cookie choice is kept for 6 months on your device. MetaScope searches are not retained (see above). The site runs no database of user accounts or profiles. Data shared from the WoW addon is kept for 24 months (see its own section).

Your rights

If you're in the European Union, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, object to processing of, and receive a copy of (portability) your data. To exercise it, contact us (below) or file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Since there's no user-account system, it stores no passwords or payment details.

Changes

This policy may evolve alongside the site (new features, new third-party tools). The "last updated" date at the top reflects the version in force.
