Patch Notes — Teamfight Tactics Set 18

Riot doesn't publish TFT patch notes through an API — only as articles on its official site, and not always for smaller mid-patch balance hotfixes. Here's a hand-written summary of the latest patches; each card links to the full article, on teamfighttactics.leagueoflegends.com when Riot published one, otherwise to a reliable community source.
Patch 18.1d Balance
August 31, 2026
First real balance pass on Enchanted Wilds. The first real balance update since Set 18 launched (18.1a/18.1b on August 27-28 only touched bugs). Cassiopeia, Ahri, Cinderling, Master Yi and Morgana got weaker; Draven, Soraka, Amumu, Elder Dragon and Lux got stronger — Lux gets both at once (spell damage up, Lunar damage amp down). The Riftbeast (7) tier was trimmed slightly. Followed on September 1 by a round of bug fixes: the end-of-game screen showing the wrong final placement for 1st/2nd in Ranked, the “Soul Awakening” augment's true damage only applying to attack damage instead of ability damage too, a matchmaking issue that could pit the same two players against each other two rounds in a row, and several smaller fixes (Adaptor, Alune, Master of All Origins icons, Double Up life debt).

Patch 18.1 Set 18
August 25, 2026
Enchanted Wilds goes live. Set 18 “Enchanted Wilds” launches (Riftbeasts, Elderwood, the new Wisps mechanic) alongside the game's engine switch from Hextech to Unreal Engine. Set 17 “Space Gods” stays playable in parallel for a few more patches. Several hotfixes followed on August 27 and 28: memory leaks, load times, and Double Up re-enabled after a bug had temporarily disabled the queue.

Patch 17.9 Balance
August 11, 2026
Last patch dedicated to Space Gods. Last Set-17-only balance patch before Enchanted Wilds arrives on August 26. Shepherd trait rework (mana, shield, scaling damage), a big risk/reward curve change on Twisted Fate, and buffs to Gwen and Milio.

Patch 17.8 Content
July 28, 2026
Choncc's Classic Treasure. The “Choncc's Lore & Legends” mode becomes “Choncc's Classic Treasure” with classic League elements (PvE monsters, Kayle's court, old items like Heart of Gold). Small balance adjustments to Space Gods, and Enchanted Wilds (Set 18) hits PBE the same day.
