LeBlanc, the Deceiver, is an assassin and mage champion that is demanding to master. Across our 764 analysed ranked games, LeBlanc is mostly played in Mid (80% of its games), and more rarely as Support (14%), with a 45.4% win rate in that role: tier C among Mid champions (#38 of 42, ranked by win rate). Combos and how to play

LeBlanc is a burst and mobility assassin: Sigil of Malice marks the target and explodes when an ability damages it. Distortion makes her dash and return, Ethereal Chains roots after 1.5 seconds, and Mimic copies one of her basic abilities.

The engage and exit

Distortion makes you dash; within 4 seconds, recast it to return to your starting point.

Safety

When: An enemy is chasing you.

Ethereal Chains throws a chain: if it stays attached for 1.5 seconds, the enemy is rooted. Your passive makes you invisible under 40% health.

Laning phase

Mark with Sigil of Malice then trigger the explosion with an ability within 3.5 seconds. If the sigil kills the target, you recover the mana cost and reduce its remaining cooldown.

Common mistakes

• Casting abilities before marking: the sigil has to explode.
• Forgetting that Distortion can be recast within 4 seconds.
• Using the ultimate on an ability whose cooldown is too long.

• Distortion allows you to be aggressive with your other spells while being able to return to safety.
• Using Distortion can help your positioning to land Ethereal Chains.
• You can chain Sigil of Malice and Ethereal Chains to prevent characters with blink from escaping for up to 4 seconds.

How to play against LeBlanc

• LeBlanc's ultimate can create fake LeBlancs during her spellcast or, rarely, at a distant position.
• The fake LeBlanc created at a distance will always run at the nearest Champion, cast a harmless spell, then immediately disappear.
• Attacking LeBlanc first avoids most of her tricks, especially if she's recently used her dash, Distortion.
• Stunning or silencing LeBlanc will prevent her from activating the return part of Distortion.

Abilities

PassiveMirror Image

When LeBlanc drops below 40% Health, she becomes invisible for 1 second and creates a Mirror Image that deals no damage and lasts for up to 8 seconds.

QSigil of Malice

LeBlanc projects a sigil, dealing damage and marking the target for 3.5 seconds. Damaging the marked target with an ability detonates the sigil, dealing additional damage. If either part kills the target, Leblanc refunds the Mana cost and part of this spell's remaining Cooldown.

WDistortion

LeBlanc dashes to a location, dealing damage to enemies near her destination. For the next 4 seconds, activate Distortion again to return LeBlanc to her starting location.

EEthereal Chains

LeBlanc launches a chain that shackles the first enemy hit. If the target remains shackled for 1.5 seconds, LeBlanc roots them and deals additional damage.

RMimic
