Combos and how to play

Written guide · based on the official ability texts

Briar is a frenzied jungler: her attacks and abilities deal a stacking bleed that heals her, and she lacks natural regeneration but her healing increases when she is low on health. Head Rush stuns and breaks armor, Blood Frenzy makes her chase the nearest enemy, Chilling Scream frees her from the frenzy, and Certain Death flies her to her prey.

The engage
Head Rush Q AA AA Blood Frenzy / Snack Attack W AA AA

When: An enemy is within leap range.

Head Rush leaps onto a unit, stuns and breaks armor; Blood Frenzy gives speeds and area damage around the target; recast it for a Snack Attack.

Leaving the frenzy
Chilling Scream E Head Rush Q AA AA

When: You need to regain control.

Chilling Scream frees you from Blood Frenzy, reduces the damage you take while charging and heals you; a fully charged scream knocks back and stuns against a wall.

The prey ultimate
Certain Death R Blood Frenzy / Snack Attack W AA AA

When: A carry is visible on the map.

Certain Death marks the first champion hit as your prey and flies you to them while terrifying nearby enemies; you gain armor, magic resistance, life steal and speed.

Blood Frenzy / Snack Attack
WBlood Frenzy / Snack Attack
Briar leaps forward and shatters her pillory, entering a Blood Frenzy that causes her to relentlessly pursue the nearest enemy (prioritizing champions). While frenzied, she gains increased Attack Speed and Move Speed, and her attacks deal damage in an area around her target.

Briar can reactivate this ability while frenzied to take a CHOMP out of her target on her next attack, dealing additional damage based on their missing Health, and healing Briar based on the damage she deals.
Chilling Scream
EChilling Scream
Briar refocuses her mind, removing Blood Frenzy and channeling energy into a powerful scream that damages and slows enemies. While charging, she takes reduced damage and heals for a portion of her max Health. A fully charged scream knocks foes back, dealing additional damage and stunning those who collide with a wall.
Certain Death
RCertain Death
Briar kicks her pillory's hemolith gemstone, marking the first champion it hits as her prey. She then beelines straight to them, fearing other surrounding enemies upon arriving at her target, and enters a state of complete hemomania.
