WoW Forever: how PvP progression works
Blizzard has detailed the WoW Forever PvP system, built on two parts: Honor, a currency, and rank points, which move you up the classic ranks toward High Warlord or Grand Marshal. Honor gains are evened out across battlegrounds so Alterac Valley is no longer the default pick. Ranks have a weekly cap, and PvP seasons with weekly tasks sit on top.
What it means for you
- PvP gear: Honor buys a blue set and an epic set; the epic needs the blue piece plus an Emboldened Seal, gated by a minimum rank.
- Ranks: PvP trinket at rank 2, epic weapons at rank 14; mounts come at rank 11.
- Every spec covered: Shaman, for example, get healer, melee and caster sets.
- Seasons: weekly tasks grant Honor and rank points, and three of them give a Legacy Point.
