WoW Forever: Blizzard will not modernize the classes
In a series of interviews with TechRadar, Blizzard lays out its vision for WoW Forever. The Classic classes will not be overhauled: they should stay simple but with real depth, and the original combat pacing is kept. Respeccing will not be cheap: the price climbs quickly and resets once a week. Retail races are not planned, and Summoning Stones are not wanted because quick teleports shrink the world.
What it means for you
- Classes: the Classic talents and rotations you know remain the base, no Retail-style overhaul.
- Respec: bring gold, the cost rises fast and drops back once a week. Settle on your build before paying.
- Races: only the original lore races, no Retail races.
- Travel: no Summoning Stones, which keeps part of the Warlock class identity.
